I’m not sure when it happened—
but somewhere between the heartbreaks, the letting go, the soft starts and the sudden ends…
I started collecting little lessons.
Ones I didn’t ask for.
Ones that came wrapped in silence, in struggle, in stillness.
And while I wouldn’t always want to relive the moments that taught them,
I hold the wisdom close now—like worn notes tucked in a back pocket.
Here are a few:
1. Not everything needs closure to be complete.
Sometimes peace comes in the form of choosing to move forward anyway.
2. The quiet things are often the most meaningful.
A deep breath. A slow morning. A kind word when you least expect it.
3. You can forgive someone and still never let them close again.
Boundaries can be a form of grace—both for them and for you.
4. Healing is not linear—and it doesn’t have a deadline.
Some days will feel light. Others will feel like starting over. That’s okay.
5. You are allowed to be both soft and strong.
In fact, it’s your softness that makes your strength even more beautiful.
6. Love should feel like safety—not survival.
Real love doesn’t require you to shrink to fit inside of it.
7. Letting go is an act of self-respect.
Not everything that breaks your heart is meant to stay in it.
8. Your story is still unfolding.
Even when it feels like everything has paused, your becoming is still happening.
I’m still learning.
Still unlearning.
Still making space for new truths to settle in.
But each lesson has brought me a little closer to myself—and to the quiet kind of life I want to build.
And maybe… just maybe… you’re learning these things too.
